spend time on training
We visited this restaurant recently with our family. Were told to wait
in the bar despite the fact that it was obvious a table was set and
available for our party of five..clearly not reserved for anyone.....the
restaurant was empty. It was a late Sunday lunch...no preconceived
notions of the restaurant ...recognised Chef's name as someone I had
heard of, so realised we were potentially in the company of greatness!
Waitresses spilled water everywhere, quite nonchalant, another one came
over and rattled off the specials, reading from a notebook.....not very
professional...genuinely struggled to catch what she was saying, and
amazed she couldn't do it from memory..it didn't seem complicated to me.
Noticed three waitresses all had lovely French manicures...don't know
if that is part of their grooming allowance, but if it is, they should
rather spend time on training. I left my jersey behind and as we did not
leave a tip it was thrust at me as we stepped out the door in a very
sullen manner. As for the food...expensive and my chicken was slightly
undercooked and swimming in a tasteless yellow gravy...the cerviche also
had no taste...my boys did not like their half raw pork either...the
chowder was good according to my husband, wine at $9 a glass really
pricey...overall not somewhere we would hurry back....$300 and no
dessert or coffee...seemed a lot. Sorry no cigar!

Out of the 2 entrees we ordered one was fantastic
This place was ok. Out of the 2 entrees we ordered one was fantastic and
the other was quite gross. And out of both of our mains one was
fantastic and the other had to be send back. They didn't charge us for
the main that was sent back, and it was still VERY expensive. I searched
trip advisor for a $$ restaurant and this was suggested and it was more
like $$$. The service was great except for the rude girl at the front,
but our waitress was lovely. Don't know if I would recommend it, solely
based on the fact that it's not worth the money.
